When I set out to open Obsidian Exceptional Eyewear right here in Bethel Park, my vision was simple but uncompromising. I wanted to create a truly unique eyewear boutique- a space that acted as a gatekeeper of genuine craftsmanship. I wanted to provide a stage where fiercely independent artisans from Japanese ateliers to Italian heritage factories could proudly display their masterful, handcrafted frames.
Most importantly, I wanted to give Pittsburghers a place to finally find fun, distinctive, and completely unique glasses that reflect who they really are. But having world-class frames wasn’t enough; the entire journey had to be different. I wanted the process of buying glasses to be completely seamless and radically transparent.
